Nestled in the quiet village of Naggar, the Roerich Art Gallery is a place where art, history, and nature blend seamlessly. Once the residence of the famous Russian painter, philosopher, and explorer Nikolai Roerich (1874–1947), the gallery today preserves his legacy and showcases his profound love for the Himalayas.
About Nikolai Roerich
Roerich settled in Naggar in the 1920s and made it his home for over two decades. Deeply inspired by the mountains, he created hundreds of paintings capturing the mystical beauty, snow-clad peaks, and spiritual aura of the Himalayas. His works also reflect themes of peace, culture, and unity.
